Hard Times: The First Five Year Plan

While the collectivization and industrialization drives that defined the First Five Year Plan (1928-32) captured several bloggers attention this week, the campaign against religion proved even more popular. This weekly edition features exemplary posts on these topics, as well as discussions of family planning policy, agitational art, the crisis on the Manchurian railroad, and sports in Soviet society.
