I like your post and explaining about your major, especially where you explained humanity. I hope engineering disciplines could be more involved with humanities.
Thank you for your post.

I totally agree with your point about engineering classes and also teaching schedule, which is far away from social skills and improving emotional intelligence as well as logical intelligence. It is memorable to linking your background and personal experience to express your point and I hope more people follow your point of view especially in higher education.

I totally agree with your point of view toward homework assignments and grades. And I like your statements of your teaching rules. I was wondering how these can be implemented in engineering classes where they have to solve problems mathematically.
Great post and nice beginning and fabulous conclusion. Changes require a long process and more importantly attracting the power’s attention this can be done by lawyers but somehow the power’s have their own lawyers as well. Thank you for your great post.

I think the old fashioned classes should be promoted in the way you explained to be more learning-based instead of grade-based. however, these changes require a different mentality of both students and teachers and also a modified education system.
It is true that collaborative learning helps to improve science and expedites its evolution, but it can also foster weeds instead of germinations. The best examples are those with no merit becoming famous based on their extravagant posts followed by many people.
