Agree, the tax plan makes every Ph.D. student nervous. As a side effect, a lot of my friends are considering finish their Ph.D. study sooner due to the burden of the new tax plan. This new tax plan will put much pressure to the graduate students and discourage students for pursuing Ph.D. study.

This is really well said. I agree with you, it’s easy to let hate win. It’s easy to focus on the negative things that we want to change. It’s more difficult to focus on the positives when the negatives are happening.

Sorry about your house though… that’s really unfortunate.
