Learning and teaching are also paralleling for teachers and students. When students tried to learn from some course while they will have opinions for teacher’s teaching method. Their potential hope is to follow the way if they feel comfortable; or to change the way in the future if they did not enjoy the class. The similar situation is for teachers. Therefore, the essential reason is that students and teachers should be open to each other in order to make a good communication for concerns of their.

Since you give me a clear opinion but not sufficient evidence for your idea, I would like to conditionally accept your opinions. Partly I agree with you that digital learning will benefit some students who can’t attend a physical university or school. However, I would like to defend my idea with some evidences. For example, we can know about something with “smell”. Just only replying on the online material, it is only just a piece of information in your mind. You definitely can’t teach your nose to learn smell through online, right? The same case is for “taste”. It is impossible to learn what taste is spicy or sweet. Another interesting evidence, if you try to fall in love with some girl or boy, can you learn how to love others without any practice in real life by the internet? I can’t imagine how those cases would be implemented by learning online. Therefore, I still hold my idea digital learning helped people learn to some extent, but face-to-face and in-class, both traditional learning methods still play a vital role in our learning life.

Whether traditional or modern ways are, they are methods for people to get knowledge. I don’t think there is any something wrong with those methods for students. The only issue is that what kind of ways students would prefer to choosing. It really depends on personal interest and opinions.

Thanks for you topic and critical opinions. Exam is not the only measures for your course performance. Because some students are not comfortable with sitting in a classroom and high timing pressure, which will finally affect students’ performance. I agree with your opinion for taking-home exam opinion. It can tell how the performance of students is because they have enough time to think about questions and make preparation through different tools such as internet, books and other references. The main purpose of knowing knowledge is that we can understand it and know how to use it, but not only for answers of questions.
