Thanks! It is exactly a double standard that women were held up to. Women were expected to do everything, but were not truly acknowledged, or seemingly “satisfied” if they did not have a man in their life.

Thanks! I agree though with the message the movie is sending. It is really disheartening thinking about the girls who watched this and felt like they could not truly be successful without a man.

Thanks! I agree that the sentiment is ridiculous. There are plenty of women who have proven they can balance motherhood and a career just fine and I think they are incredibly powerful for being able to do it.

Thanks! Soviet women really did have a lot to live up to and it seems like it was an extremely difficult standard to uphold.
