I think it’s kind of funny that the Soviets were able to look at the past and see that the Germans strategy wouldn’t work, but the Germans totally forgot about the past failure and proceeded without thinking twice. Hindsight is 20-20 I guess

I don’t understand how they thought that no one would put the pieces together and figure out what they had done. It makes me wonder if there were any more similar events that were successfully covered up that no one knows about.
Comment on In Russia, Champagne Drinks You by A.Anthony
I think it’s funny that the Soviets who were so anti elitism chose champagne to be their drink of choice. All attempts at rebranding aside, I can’t imagine that it was something normal people actually drank on a regular basis, but that they pretended that they did is hilarious.
Comment on Central planning meets film: The censorship of a mass medium by A.Anthony
It’s crazy to think how many films must have been suppressed during this era. So many of today’s popular movies are at least somewhat political, so I can’t even imagine how difficult it must have been for a screenwriter to write something worth seeing.
Comment on Episode 3: Revenge of the Reds by A.Anthony
Did you come across any particular reason as to why the Red Army was the one who ended up with all of the military strategists? Was that an ideological thing or was that just the way that worked out? Good job.

P.S. I think your site might be on UK time or something because the timestamps are all way off.

Toxic masculinity ruins the party again! Was this the only political party that would accept women, or was this simply the worst? Either way, it really is a bummer to see how tolerated such behavior was and how toxic the environment was.
Comment on One Venti Misogyny Latte with a Shot of Cynicism by A.Anthony
It is so typical that a group espousing equality for all would really only mean equality for half. While I’m sure that the reduced stigmatization of divorce did much to help Russian women, it doesn’t seem like many other changes were made.
Comment on Order No. 1 by A.Anthony
I like that you went into the effects that the order had on the military and on society in general, but I do feel that since you were going that route, you probably could have done a more in depth analysis. On the whole though, I thought was you were talking about was very interesting. Nice job :).
Comment on Episode 2: Attack of the Bolsheviks by A.Anthony
I did my post on the Kornilov Affair, so it was nice to see that you focused in part on that. I think it is really interesting that so many little incidents that wouldn’t have meant much in the grand scheme of things ended up having such a huge impact on the trajectory of the world for the rest of the century, and arguably, longer. Glad to see you made another video.
