Comment on The Student Movement in Korea by scribe

I really enjoyed reading about these issues. I hope that you find your way to what you want to be doing. Comment on Future of the University by poochy

Interdisciplinary efforts emerged recently as a solution to sustainability issues in the architecture field, and it seems that sustainability ignited this trend in the other fields as well. I read some articles on engineering and social studies, they both remark sustainability as the main reason of interdisciplinary movement.

Comment on French higher education system and Paris – La Villette Architecture School (ENSAPLV) by poochy

In my experience, there were not many tenure faculty members and many professors were professional architects running their own firm. But it can be because of architecture-specific condition which focuses a lot on professional development. Since there were not many full-time professors, their time commitment was much limited than here. On the other side, I heard that student’s independent learning ability is important in European education, so, European research tends to be student-led and professors usually don’t push or guide their students in detail while American professors tend to strongly lead and take care their students in detail. I am not sure about the income, one french internet site introduces that it is between 3000 ~ 6000 euros per month before tax.
