It’s interesting to think about the relation and interaction about personal life and professional life. Sometimes maybe it’s hard to manage conflicts between this two things. I would say when I become a teacher in the future, I will be happy to share part of my personal life with my students. It’s more convictive to telling my own stories.

Comment on Again, TEACHING & COOKING by Chang
The differences between Western and Asian teaching styles are totally true. I think part of the reason is that the evaluation systems are focused on different aspects. Like some western people like Chinese food very much, maybe there will be some interesting happen when some teacher apply the Chinese teaching style here. I might try that if I have the opportunity haha ?

It’s great to learn something about art studio from your post. I find the title very interesting. The interactions between these three words seems vital during the class and the students’ response might help the teachers to improve the teaching strategy.

It’s a great guidance to follow when the subject comes to “diversity”. I really like the idea about dealing with it step by step as shown in your post. Normally we know a lot of people of the similar background as ourselves. Take part in volunteered activities would be a great opportunity to know more divers individuals.
Comment on Won’t We Need to be Able of Critical Thinking Ourselves? by Chang
“Critical pedagogy involves the participation not only of the students but also of the professors.” This is a great point. I think in the learning process, both the students and teachers are active subjects and learn from each other is an vital factor.
Comment on Diversity Awareness by Chang
This blog recalled my memory when I just entered college. Actually before college I just staid at my hometown and the all the students were from the same city and share the same dialect and living habit. But in college, students were from different parts of the country and have various experience before they came to the same college. I agree with you that sometimes people feel uncomfortable when they have to deal with diversity. But it’s inevitable since the integration of the society, everyone should learn to work with people from different background.
Comment on My Story by Chang
It’s so great to hear your story! Foreign countries are always mysterious and people want to know more about what is happening outside. It’s an exciting change that women can drive in Saudi Arabia and I believe women will obtain more rights in the future.

It’s a great post and I really enjoyed it. “The instructor should provide a basic framework with supporting rationales, but also allow room for student input and adjustments.” I would say it’s a great idea to manage the class in this way. The instructor is in charge of the class by giving the frameworks and the students could definitely learn actively by filling the frameworks.
