Week 6: Citation Methods
When we use materials or ideas that are not ours the reader must be able to tell the differences between our own words and ideas and the words and work of other creators. Copyright shows respect for the creators. When we are using another person ideas we must properly cite them. Citing clears that which idea is yours and which one is borrowed from other people. If we do not properly cite then it would be considered as plagiarism(cheating).
Copyright is the lawful right for the author.
The best way to avoid plagiarism is to give the credit to the person who owns the idea or work that you used. You have to get the permission from the author if you do not so it is considered copyright infringement.
